Guidelines

1. All Character Pages will be the first and last name of the character, titles and nicknames go in the content of the page...this is to keep the page links in order if your characters title changes.
2. All images will be uploaded prefixed by your character name. For instance, Devan would upload devan.jpg for his Character Picture, then if he wanted an image on his character page in addition to that image it would be named devan2.jpg or devan-book.jpg.
3. One page is allowed per Character, if you have 3 Characters you may make 3 Character Pages. Please see Howto: Subpages for information on the best way to break up Character Pages with a lot of content into smaller chunks.

Upload Image

We love images, so please look around and see if you can find an image that does justice to your character. Please only use images that are not under copyright protection. Once you have an image that you like, use the following steps to upload it to this site.

1. Follow the Upload File link
2. Click the "Browse" button
3. Select the image file on your computer
4. Click the "Open" button
5. Fill in the "Destination Filename" field of the form with your character name all in lower-case and the extension of the file. eg: devan.jpg
6. Click the "Upload File" button

You should now see a Wiki page with your image in the middle, and your done!

Add to Directory

Next you need to add your Character to at least one Directory. We advise you to start by linking into the page for your Homeland.

To add your character to the directory for a homeland or faction simply edit the page and add a line in this format at the end of the gallery in question. So for the character "Bob Smith", we would edit the "Citizen's" section of the Mists page which contains this:

Create Page

Once you save the directory page in the last step, you should be returned to that page with the item you ad ded shown. The link you've added will be red, follow that link to begin creating your page.

When you edit a page for the first time, you will be taken directly into "Edit" mode. Unless you have a hi story of editing Wiki pages, it is advisable to use the following template by copying the text in the box b elow and pasting it into your new page.

Now edit the text you entered and replace anything that looks like instructions. Then all you have to do is "Save page" and your done!

Note: Those more wiki savvy might be tempted to sort the category by last name. Don't! Just do [[Category:Character Pages]] is good.

Additional Directories

At this point, you can add your Character Page to any of the Directories that are fitting. Do NOT make more pages, just follow Step #2 for each directory and link to the same page.

Obviously you can get MUCH more advanced in how you setup the page, just remember the rule of only one main page for each character. Feel free to use sub-pages, and all of the formatting you like however.
